"La bella stagione di Riccione" 2024/25 theatre season - Stefano Massini, "Mein Kampf"
Comune di Riccione
A century separates us from 1924, the year "Mein Kampf" was born, and less than ten years from 2016, when Germany decided to allow it to be published again.
Stefano Massini, after a long cross-work on the texts of all of the Führer's speeches and the first draft of the book-manifesto dictated by the young Hitler in the Landsberg cell, delivers to the stage this performance in which "Mein Kampf" emerges in all its disconcerting scope: to take stage form is the paranoid autobiography of an invaded visionary, increasingly convinced that he can sublimate his personal frustrations into a revolutionary and delirious political project.
From the primacy of the race to the apotheosis of the commander, from the uncontrolled love for the masses to the fever for propaganda, in this torrential river of words, dense with invective and repetition, the entire scaffolding of National Socialism gradually takes shape, offered without filters by Massini in a millimetric theatrical study of the rhythms, tones, and verbal lunges of the German dictator. And awareness of this mechanism is the only antidote to its nefarious replication.
Admission: 30 euros (sector A), 20 euros (sector B). Direct online purchase: Liveticket.it.
Ticket office at the Palazzo del Turismo open Tuesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Information: Riccione Teatro cell. 320 016817
